So I'm feeling VERY cool right now.

So, I made this:
Yep, that's a TARDIS.

It's an iPhone cover:
It's an iPhone disguised as a TARDIS
disguised as a police box.

From the back it looks like:
It closes with a button flap.

I am currently very happy with my knitting skills! I made it for my girl, Kate, as a Christmas present. Her phone makes the TARDIS sound when it rings, so I knew this would be perfect for her.

It took me a good long while, trying to suss out the pattern. I started with blue yarn and the dimensions for an iPhone (I looked it up on Wikipedia), and really went from there.

It was tricky, but SOOOOO worth it.

What I've been knitting the past 6 months...

Hey, all!

I've been pretty much MIA from this blog since April. In the meantime I've gone to Israel, broken my right collarbone, finished one semester of my senior year, started tutoring at the local high school, and turned 21!

And I've been knitting :)

First of all, FELTING:
Forget-Me-Not Purse
Wood Violet Purse
They remind me of hard candies, the ones that you only seem to get at holiday parties.

And I continued my felting phase by making a few of these:
Piggy iPod Case
Protects my iPod from the elements.

AND and iPad case!
iPad case!
The better the computer, the brighter the case.
iPad fits snugly inside

I love making cases for my electronics, because 1) I always drop them, and 2) I can never find them because they're boring colors like black or grey. So I make really bright cases so I can always spot them when I'm packing up my bag to leave for the day.

Felted cases are also super thick and soft, so my iPod, cell phone, iPad, etc. NEVER get scratched. Which is wonderful.

And now for some miscellany:

Two-Tone Purple Coin Purse

silk & alpaca wool, hand-sewn zipper.

Chocolate Cabled Headband

Alpaca wool, 16" around. Hand-sewn buttons.

TINY Baby Mittens :)
